• Experience: 1 year inpatient dialysis experience; First-time travelers require 2 years of perm staff RN experience in acute care

What You'll Do

• Provide inpatient dialysis care for hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients
• Access fistulas and dialysis catheters with critical thinking and precision
• Monitor patient vitals and response to treatments
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care across multiple facilities
• Assist with patient assessments, charting, and documentation in Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Float between facilities as scheduled, maintaining flexibility and autonomy
• Participate in on-call shifts (5-6 per schedule), including 12-hour call days
• Adhere to safety protocols, including working with Braun dialysis machines and Alaris IV pumps

What You Need

• Active Louisiana RN license
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• 1 year inpatient dialysis experience
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Critical thinking skills and ability to work independently
• Experience with Braun dialysis machines and EMR: Meditech Expanse

• CCHT or CDN certification
• Prior experience in acute care settings
• Flexibility to float between facilities

About the Assignment This assignment is with a leading healthcare provider in Shreveport, LA, offering the opportunity to work across multiple dialysis facilities, including WKMC (main campus) and other local sites. The position involves rotating shifts, on-call duties, and a collaborative team environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care. Orientation includes two days at various facilities to ensure smooth onboarding.
