Production WorkerWe are seeking diligent candidates to work in our manufacturing environment, creating quality windows and patio doors. All candidates will be cross-trained in multiple areas within the facility.ResponsibilitiesDouble Hung: Involves heavy lifting, repetitive work, and requires the ability to read schedules/labels.Direct Set: Requires the ability to work independently, learn about different materials and colors, and read paperwork and labels.CSMT: Role involves using a sash hanger, tape measure, and reading schedules.Patio Door: Involves heavier lifting and tape measure use.Essential SkillsExperience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment (minimum 6 months).Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch.Solid attendance record.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh attention to detail.Awareness of surroundings.Willingness to ask questions when unsure.Adaptable to cross-training in multiple areas.Comfortable lifting 50lbs.Able to speak English, whether secondary language or not.Why Work Here?Benefit package including medical, vision, and dental. The current schedule involves working 32-40 hours a week, with preparations for a busy season where there will be 50-hour work weeks and a requirement to work two Saturdays a month. We operate in a manufacturing environment across three facilities, which are not temperature controlled. The team size averages around 100 employees per facility. Dress code requires work-appropriate shirts, jeans or shorts, and mandatory steel-toed shoes.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Des Moines, IA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
