Job Description
Energy Talent Search is working with a highly respected Phoenix-based CPA firm seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their growing practice. This is a hands-on role focused on corporate and business tax compliance , ideal for a professional who enjoys managing client relationships, mentoring staff, and ensuring accuracy during busy filing seasons.

While many firms have gone remote, this position offers the collaboration, mentorship, and client interaction that come from being in the office - with flexibility for occasional remote work when needed.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review corporate (C-Corp and S-Corp) , partnership , and individual tax returns.
Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws , ensuring all deadlines and filings are met.
Supervise, train, and review the work of junior tax staff.
Provide proactive tax planning and consulting to small and midsize business clients.
Research complex tax issues and clearly communicate findings to partners and clients.
Manage client relationships, timelines, and engagement budgets.

Benefits
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's in Taxation preferred).
Active CPA license required.
5-8 years of public accounting experience , with significant corporate and business compliance exposure.
Proven experience preparing and reviewing Form 1120, 1120S, and 1065 .
Proficiency in tax preparation software such as CCH Axcess, UltraTax, or Lacerte.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Additional Information

Base Salary: $110,000-$120,000
In-Office Role (with Some Flexibility)
Local Candidates Strongly Preferred
