Responsibilities
- Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians.
- Position and instruct patients prior to examination; ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging.
- Adjust x-ray equipment and determine proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each radiograph.
- Maintain image quality, identify and address artifacts, and document imaging procedures according to policy.
- Follow radiation safety protocols, verify patient identification, and maintain proper shielding and infection control practices.
- Prepare radiographs for interpretation by physicians and assist with basic equipment maintenance as needed.

Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist license as required by the state.
- Certification in diagnostic radiography or as required by the employer.
- Ability to operate x-ray equipment and produce diagnostic-quality images.
- Capacity to work a varied shift schedule and participate in a travel assignment.
- Strong patient communication skills and adherence to safety and procedural standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a clinical setting and follow facility policies.
