## Electrical ApprenticeApplylocations: Indianapolis, IN (MEP HQ)time type: Full timeposted on: Posted 2 Days Agojob requisition id: JR105741### **Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Assist electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems* Support conduit bending, wire pulling, and device installation* Read and interpret basic blueprints and electrical drawings* Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe job site* Follow all safety procedures and company standards* Attend apprenticeship classes (one night per week during the program schedule)* Learn and apply electrical codes and best practices### **Required Skills and Abilities*** Strong interest in the electrical trade and willingness to learn* Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills* Ability to work in a team environment and take direction* Reliable attendance and strong work ethic* Ability to work in various environments (indoor/outdoor, construction sites)* Comfortable working with tools and equipment### **Education and Qualifications*** High school diploma or GED required* Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in an electrical apprenticeship program* Previous construction or trade experience is a plus, but not required### **Physical Requirements*** Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly* Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces* Ability to work at heights and on ladders* Ability to work in varying weather conditions### About UsFounded in 1968, Edwards Electrical & Mechanical, Inc. has grown to become one of the largest electrical/mechanical contracting firms in Indiana and the Midwest. On December 31st, 2021, a national company called Comfort Systems USA acquired all the stock of MEP Holding Company, thereby making it the owner of MEP Holding Company’s subsidiaries. Comfort Systems USA went public as a company in June 1997 and is comprised of over 170 locations across the United States.
