Travel Physical Therapist Assistant, Outpatient - $1,367 per week

Job Summary Jackson Therapy Partners is seeking a travel Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant for a position in Millbury, Massachusetts. Job Description & Responsibilities Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapist Assistant in Millbury, MA at an outpatient clinic. You will work with patients recovering from injuries or illness, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. Provide rehabilitative care following treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist. Assist with posture training, strengthening, endurance/cardiac training, balance, coordination, joint mobility, pain relief, and functional skills training. Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices. Demonstrate proper guarding and safety techniques. Use therapeutic modalities as ordered and monitor patient response. Document patient progress, provide education to patients and families, and collaborate with healthcare team members. Adhere to infection control, safety, and facility policies. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program. Active Massachusetts PTA license required prior to the start of the assignment. BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required. Experience in outpatient physical therapy preferred. Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as whirlpools, hot/cold packs, paraffin, ultrasound, iontophoresis, fluidotherapy, and therapeutic pool preferred. Experience with gait training, use of orthotics/prosthetics, and assistive devices preferred. Ability to document patient progress and communicate treatment plans effectively. Preferred Qualifications Previous travel or contract PTA experience. Experience with safe patient handling techniques and functional skills training.
