Kitchen Steward

Deep cleaning of kitchen equipment in accordance with hotel standards. Complete washing of dishes, pots, pans or other equipment used in the kitchen.

Job Focus: Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

• Must love and support their TEAM!
• Must love and take care of guests!
• Must say "yes" and "thank you" often!
• Responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen areas
• Ensures that all china, glass and silverware requirements are met
• Takes monthly inventories of china, glass and silverware
• Fills in and assists other employees in the Kitchen Stewarding Department
• Cleans pot and pans, sweeps floors and removes kitchen trash
• Cleans trash cans, floor mats, walls, dishes, glassware and silverware, dollies, carts, shelving, counter tops, reach-in refrigerators, walk-in coolers and freezers, and the dock area
• Delivers and picks-up kitchen equipment
• Acts as a pot, pan, glass, china, and silverware runner
• Performs other duties requested

Desired Qualifications:

• Has a minimum of one (1) year kitchen operations experience
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Has working knowledge of sanitation regulations and procedures
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Able to stand for an extended period of time
• Must be able to obtain a Health Card
