Product Manager (Product Data Transformation)

OverviewA leading consumer products organization is seeking a Product Manager to support a strategic Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) andProduct Data Transformation initiative. This highly visible role will help modernize product information management processes, improve data quality, andestablish scalable product hierarchy structures that support future digital and AI-enabled business capabilities.This position is ideal for candidates with experience who enjoy working in fast-paced, evolving organizations where they can help create structure, drive transformation, and deliver meaningful business outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & RoadmapPartner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities and challenges related to product lifecycle and product data management.Translate business objectives into prioritized product requirements and initiatives.Support development and maintenance of product roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.Evaluate business value, dependencies, and risks to inform prioritization decisions.Ensure initiatives support both immediate needs and long-term business objectives.Requirements Gathering & AnalysisFacilitate discovery sessions with cross-functional business and technology teams.Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements, workflows, use cases, and acceptance criteria.Analyze current-state processes and identify improvement opportunities.Create clear and actionable documentation to support implementation efforts.Partner with stakeholders to define business value and success metrics.Product Data & Lifecycle TransformationSupport initiatives focused on product data governance, auditing, cleanup, and restructuring.Improve data quality, consistency, and usability across product information systems.Help define and implement new product hierarchy structures, taxonomies, and data standards.Assess current field utilization and identify opportunities to retire outdated attributes.Contribute to future-state product information capabilities that enhance product development and commercialization.Product Delivery & ExecutionCollaborate with program managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to execute initiatives.Participate in backlog refinement, prioritization, sprint planning, and delivery activities.Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges.Support testing, validation, and user acceptance activities.Ensure delivered solutions meet business goals and stakeholder expectations.Stakeholder CollaborationBuild strong partnerships across Product Development, Merchandising, Marketing, Data Governance, and Technology teams.Facilitate decision-making and alignment among diverse stakeholder groups.Serve as a trusted liaison between business and technical teams.Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Required Qualifications5+ years of Product Management experience.Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements.Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.Experience supporting retail, consumer products, merchandising, product development, or related industries.Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and evolving environments.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Ideal Candidate ProfileThe successful candidate will:Thrive in environments where processes are still being created and refined.Be comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity.Demonstrate strong ownership and self-starter mentality.Influence stakeholders without direct authority.Balance strategic thinking with execution-oriented delivery.Successfully partner across business and technology teams.Enjoy solving complex business problems and delivering measurable outcomes.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65.00 - $85.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
