ABOUT THE ROLE

Ignitus Recovery is a growing behavioral health organization providing residential and outpatient treatment for substance use and mental health disorders at Cherry Hills Recovery. The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) plays a critical role in supporting both clients and clinical staff in the daily operation of treatment services. This role promotes safety, provides supervision, supports therapeutic programming, and helps maintain a trauma-informed and gender-responsive treatment environment. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about recovery who bring compassion, professionalism, and consistency to the client care environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor client safety, behavior, and participation throughout the shift Conduct rounds, milieu checks, and accurate documentation Support client orientation, schedules, and program expectations Assist with crisis prevention and de-escalation when needed Facilitate basic psychoeducational groups as assigned by clinical staff Support transportation and external appointments when necessary Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic treatment environment Assist with meal preparation and general facility upkeep Support medication administration in accordance with policy and state guidelines Communicate client needs, concerns, and observations to clinical and medical staff Assist with maintaining structure, accountability, and community expectations within the program

QUALIFICATIONS

Lived experience in recovery with 1–2 years of sustained recovery QMAP certification or ability to obtain and maintain Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients Basic understanding of addiction, recovery, and trauma-responsive care Ability to document observations and communicate clearly with team members Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass federal, state, and county background checks Trauma-responsive engagement Professional boundaries Team collaboration Adaptability and emotional stability Accountability and integrity
