Teach and support daily living skills, including personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, household cleaning, laundry, and organization.
Assist individuals in developing independent living skills, decision-making abilities, problem-solving strategies, and self-advocacy.
Support individuals in developing communication, interpersonal, social, and relationship-building skills.
Provide instruction in budgeting, money management, shopping, and responsible use of personal resources.
Assist individuals with accessing community resources, recreational activities, appointments, employment opportunities, and other community-based services as appropriate.
Encourage independence by providing the least amount of assistance necessary while maintaining individual safety.
Follow individualized service plans, behavioral support plans, and other applicable care or support documentation.
Monitor progress toward established goals and document services, activities, outcomes, and significant incidents accurately and promptly.
Promote a safe, respectful, inclusive, and person-centered environment.
Communicate effectively with individuals, families, guardians, coworkers, supervisors, and other service providers, consistent with confidentiality requirements.
Recognize and report health, safety, behavioral, or other concerns according to organizational procedures.
Follow applicable emergency response, incident reporting, confidentiality, and mandated reporting procedures.
Attend required staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
