Quality Inspector

Quality InspectorInspect products throughout the manufacturing process, from raw materials through final machined parts and assemblies.Set up and operate precision measuring equipment as required, including surface plates, sine plates, calipers, optical comparators, indicators, thread gages, dial bore gages, Muller gages, bridge gages, micrometers, and other inspection tools.Perform product layouts using surface plates and CMM equipment.Utilize sine plates and trigonometry when required for inspection and measurement.Generate inspection reports as needed.Enter nonconforming material data into the appropriate database.Prepare required documentation, certifications, and inspection records in accordance with customer requirements.Train and instruct other employees on inspection procedures and equipment as necessary.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is required.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications on a daily basis.Ability to provide accurate and detailed information regarding inspected hardware.Ability to maintain production flow by completing inspections accurately and efficiently.Must be able to successfully pass a near-vision and color-vision examination.Education and ExperienceMinimum of five years of aerospace inspection experience, including Receiving Inspection, First Article Inspection (FAI) in accordance with AS9102, and Final Inspection.Previous experience with Net-Inspect is a plus.Experience operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is preferred.CMM programming experience is a plus.Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
