IT Support Specialist

Help Desk / IT Support Specialist *Position Summary*
We are seeking an IT Support professional to provide a combination of Level 1 and Level 2 technical support. This role is primarily focused on resolving end-user issues, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting a variety of hardware, software, and access-related requests. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills and a desire to continuously learn and grow within an IT organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first and second-level technical support for end users.
* Troubleshoot and resolve password, account access, and permission-related issues.
* Support desktops, laptops, printers, network-connected devices, and other workplace technology.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
* Manage and resolve support tickets while maintaining excellent customer service.
* Escalate complex issues when necessary and follow through to resolution.
* Assist with small-scale IT projects and operational improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with team members and business stakeholders to ensure effective support delivery.
* Participate in ongoing training and stay current with new technologies, processes, and best practices.
* Provide on-site technical support across a wide range of IT needs.
Required Qualifications
* Experience providing desktop and end-user technical support.
* Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and operating systems.
* Experience supporting user accounts, permissions, and access management.
* Ability to manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
* Comfortable interacting with employees at all levels, including leadership.
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies.

*Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Opelika, AL.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
