Job Description
Express Employment is seeking a General Labor Handyman for a great company in Simpsonville. This person will be responsible for janitorial duties and reporting to the HSE.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping and polishing floors and surfaces
- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling, maintaining proper waste management
- Conduct minor maintenance and repairs, such as replacing light bulbs, painting, general construction duties
- Perform seasonal or periodic tasks, including waxing floors, trimming shrubs, snow removal, and inspecting utilities like smoke detectors and HVAC systems
- Ensure building security by locking and unlocking doors and monitoring facility access
- Maintain janitorial supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and inventory management
- Follow safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, janitorial equipment, and minor maintenance procedures such as painting, assembling, and handyman activities
- Physical stamina to lift supplies, move equipment, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
