Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location

La Porte, IN | Acute Care Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | No on-call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced rural Emergency Department with 23 beds
• Manage a patient ratio of approximately 4–5:1
• Perform assessments, interventions, and documentation in accordance with emergency nursing standards
• Utilize de-escalation techniques when managing behavioral health or high-acuity situations
• May be required to float to a sister facility Emergency Department as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN licensure required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• De-Escalation Training required
• Minimum 1–2 years of Emergency Room experience
• Must live greater than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency department setting
