Help Desk Technician

Help Desk TechnicianWe are looking for a help desk technician to join our IT team to provide technical support and assistance to our users who have issues with their computer systems, software, or hardware. A help desk technician's main responsibilities include:Serving as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance over the phone, email, or chatPerforming remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questionsDetermining the best solution based on the issue and details provided by usersWalking the user through the problem-solving processEscalating unresolved issues to the next level of support personnelProviding accurate information on IT products or servicesRecording events and problems and their resolution in logsFollowing up and updating user status and informationPassing on any feedback or suggestions by users to the appropriate internal teamIdentifying and suggesting possible improvements on proceduresTo be successful in this role, help desk technician, one must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. They must also be user-oriented and patient to deal with difficult users.
