Technical Project Manager (Cloud Migration) - Full Time - Pleasanton, CA

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a complex cloud migration project from Microsoft Azure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud platforms, proven experience in managing large-scale migration initiatives, and excellent stakeholder communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project management for the Azure to GCP migration initiative.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cloud engineers, architects, DevOps, application owners, and business stakeholders.
- Create and manage detailed project plans, timelines, deliverables, risk assessments, and resource allocation.
- Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making around architecture, tools, and migration strategies.
- Track and report project progress to leadership, ensuring clear communication of goals, milestones, blockers, and resolutions.
- Ensure all security, compliance, and performance standards are met throughout the migration.
- Drive change management, including training and knowledge transfer for post-migration operations.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience managing cloud migration projects (minimum 2 full-cycle migrations).
- Strong understanding of both Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.
- Experience with migration tools (e.g., Velostrata, Migrate for Compute Engine, CloudEndure, etc.).
- Familiarity with containerization (Kubernetes, GKE), networking, security, and CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments.
- Excellent project management skills - PMP, Scrum, or Agile certification preferred.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Google Cloud or Azure certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).
- Background in infrastructure, networking, or cloud engineering is a plus.
- Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments (e.g., Media, finance, etc.).
