Wolfe Eye Clinic Comprehensive Ophthalmologist- West Des Moines

We are currently searching for a comprehensive specialist to join our Central Iowa staff based out of our Des Moines clinic. Growth in our patient load has demanded that we add an additional specialist to help with this volume. We are interested in bringing onboard a trained surgeon, with cataract surgical volume for this position expected to be in the 1100 case range annually. Referral relationships are well established with our organization and the successful candidate will be provided opportunities to strengthen these relationships in his/her subspecialty. These arrangements have created an environment that all Wolfe physicians have found very appealing and rewarding.

West Des Moines, and the Des Moines metro area, boasts access to trails and parklands, a wide variety of entertainment options, excellent public and private schools, affordable housing and easy access to the Des Moines International Airport.

Wolfe Eye Clinic is a multi-location, multi-subspecialty, high surgical volume ophthalmology practice. We are Iowa's largest ophthalmology clinic and have approximately 30 ophthalmologists based in 13 main offices across the state. Our Clinic has been in operation for over 100 years and all ophthalmologists, who have established careers here, have enjoyed a fulfilling practice both financially and professionally. Our statewide ophthalmology staff includes 5 cornea, 3 glaucoma, 6 retina, 1 pediatric, 2 oculoplastics and 6 comprehensive ophthalmologists. Additionally, we employee optometrists in our main clinics and in primary eye care clinics. Our average physician compensation is typically in the top 10% nationally. The practice partnership offers equal ownership across the physician staff and is managed on a democratic basis with one vote per physician. We are searching for a highly motivated, comprehensive specialist that is interested in joining a very busy practice with a large loyal referral base. The successful candidate will have demonstrated their ability to achieve goals through hard work and quality decision making. The professional should have strong surgical interest and skills and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa.
