HR Coordinator

Overview DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, supporting employees, and being part of the day-to-day operations that help make a positive employee experience. The HR Coordinator will support a variety of HR activities, including onboarding, maintaining employee records, HRIS updates, compliance support, training and tuition reimbursement tracking, and other HR initiatives. The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, eager to learn, enjoys helping others, and takes pride in providing excellent support to employees and the HR team. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week onsite at our Reston, VA office. Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, including preparing employment documentation, ensuring completion of required forms, and assisting with I-9 and employment eligibility verification requirements. Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data by entering, updating, and auditing employee information in accordance with company policies, compliance requirements, and record retention guidelines. Process employment-related verification requests, including employment and income verifications, while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters, escalating more complex questions as appropriate. Coordinate and process training and tuition reimbursement requests, maintaining records and tracking completion. Generate HR reports, spreadsheets, and other documentation to support HR operations and reporting needs. Assist with planning and coordinating employee engagement initiatives, including meetings, recognition programs, and other company-sponsored activities. Maintain confidentiality of employee information and handle sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion. Support HR projects, process improvements, and other departmental initiatives as assigned. Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 0-2 years of Human Resources experience or in related field preferred. Must have excellent organizational project management skills and willingness to take initiative. Must have a full understanding of the importance in processing time sensitive information. Ability to work in a very fast paced working environment Be energetic and adaptable! Compensation: Anticipated hourly rate range is $22.00–$27.00 per hour .
