Trades Maintenance Technician - West Valley - Full Time

Trades Maintenance Technician

Monday - Friday and some weekends may be required

Maintain, troubleshoot and repair Recreation Centers of Sun City (RCSC) facility systems, structures and equipment including, but not limited to HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing systems, Pool and Fitness equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform repair and preventative maintenance tasks on all building systems and equipment as assigned
• Forecast equipment, parts, materials, supplies and vendor services costs during budget preparation
• Maintain accurate and up to date work order records via computerized Asset Management system
• Perform repair and preventative maintenance tasks on all RCSC pool equipment
• Obtain bids, coordinate, and oversee contractors as needed.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Communicate and meet repair deadlines
• Communicate thoughtfully, clearly, and professionally with RCSC staff and cardholders
• Perform all other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years of general building maintenance experience
• Post-Secondary Technical Training preferred
• Experience with MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook) preferred
• Experience using a computerized maintenance management system preferred
• Must possess a valid State of Arizona driver's license and safe driving record

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of the tools and techniques used to maintain, diagnose problems, and repair HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
• Ability to follow safety procedures
• Must possess good reading, comprehension, spelling, math, analytical and legible writing skills
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
• Familiarity with blueprints and schematics
• Knowledge and use of personal protective equipment required for the job
• Ability to use digital volt-ohm meter for checking circuit

Hourly Rate Range: $19-$22 (DOE)
