Northwest Gospel Church - Music Minister
Ministry Boost
- Northwest Gospel Church – Music Ministerby | Mar 18, 2026At Northwest Gospel Church, we sing in response to God’s Word and his work in our lives. In our gatherings, we use music to glorify God and to teach and remind ourselves and each other of the gospel. The Music Minister is the primary leader of the music team at NGC: Eastside, responsible for equipping and developing our volunteer musicians, leading Sunday gatherings, and fostering a culture of creativity that reflects the gifts God has given our church family. The Music Minister reports to the Executive Pastor of Ministries.Creatively, NGC: Eastside has a music team of 50+ volunteer musicians who serve in our Sunday gatherings. In music, we value creativity and long to use the strengths of our band members, rather than simply being a cover band trying to replicate the original recording. Over the past decade, we have released 10 singles/albums of original music, and lean into the creativity of our musicians and songwriters. Our vision is to foster an environment where the creativity of our volunteers is on display and used for God’s glory and the building up of the church.### Requirements* A Christian who has a strong understanding of biblical truth* A worshipper who sees all of life as their act of worship* An equipper who longs to foster creativity in those around them* A leader who is deeply involved in the lives of those he/she is leading* A musician who leads with excellence, preferably from guitar and/or keys* A creative who can’t wait to get out of bed and make something new* A collaborative creative who can’t wait to get others involved in projects* A team player who values the contributions of others and loves bringing their skills to the table### Why We Love This Opportunity“Because the Word of Jesus Saves.” This is the ethos that defines Northwest Gospel Church. God is doing a great work through this gospel centered community. This is a church that is expanding into new communities in the Pacific Northwest, spreading the gospel of Jesus in beautiful ways. I’m excited to help NGC find a new Music Minister to lead their Eastside location.### About Northwest Gospel ChurchNorthwest Gospel Church Eastside has deep roots in Clark County, originally planted in 1938 as Vancouver Gospel Chapel. For over eight decades, this church has been a faithful presence in the community — weathering seasons of change while maintaining a steadfast commitment to the gospel. The church entered a new chapter in 2010 when Andrew Murch joined the team as the Lead Pastor, bringing a renewed emphasis on expositional preaching, biblical literacy, and gospel centrality. Under his leadership, the church has grown exponentially — not just in attendance, but in depth, vision, and impact. What was once a single congregation has become a multi-church family, and the culture that’s been cultivated reflects a community that takes Scripture seriously and loves their city deeply.### About VancouverThe PNW (especially Vancouver) is an incredible place to live. You’re 90 minutes from the stunning Oregon coast, 15 minutes from The Columbia River Gorge with endless hiking trails and waterfalls, you’re surrounded by beautiful mountain peaks, and you’re less than 30 minutes from the Portland urban core with an international airport, world-class coffee, food, music, and beer. The PNW has mild winters, amazing summers, and a rich culture of appreciating the arts. In Vancouver you get the best of both worlds being in proximity to all the urban amenities, world-class outdoor activities, and the slower pace of suburban life.*Stephen Collins – Local Lead Pastor of NGC Summit View***Job Category:** Worship Arts**Job Type:** Full Time**Location/State:** Washington**Job Level:** Director**Remote Status:** On-Site
