The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Estimating Manager to lead and grow a team of estimators focused on complex heavy civil projects. This role sits at the center of operations-partnering with leadership, driving bid strategy, and ensuring consistency, accuracy, and competitiveness across all pursuits.

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading and mentoring a growing estimating team
• Owning the full bid lifecycle from takeoff through submission
• Driving bid strategy, pricing approach, and risk evaluation
• Collaborating with operations and executive leadership
• Establishing structure, process, and accountability across estimating
• Supporting growth by scaling the team and improving performance

Project Types

You'll be working on high-impact heavy civil projects, including:

• Earthwork & mass grading
• Site development
• Underground utilities
• Geotechnical construction
• Environmental & infrastructure work
• Water, transportation, and civil projects

• Strong experience in heavy civil construction estimating
• Deep exposure to earthwork / dirt projects
• Proven leadership experience managing estimators

• A high level of ownership, accountability, and urgency
• Strong communication and decision-making skills

Technical Experience | HCSS HeavyBid experience is required

Expertise in:

• Quantity takeoffs
• Production rates
• Cost estimating
• Subcontractor/vendor management
• Plan & spec review
• Competitive bid preparation
