Job Description
Pathologists Assistant

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Assignment Details

Assignment duration is approximately 4 months, starting 1/4/2027.

Requirements

• NYS license
• ASCP-PA certification
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital clinical laboratory
• Experience with Epic charting
• Ability to cut and stain frozen sections
• Experience triaging fresh tissue for lymphoma workups and identifying glomeruli for medical renal cores

Responsibilities

• Handle an average of 200 blocks daily, with a focus on heavy breast service specimens including breast, uterine, lung, and colon resections
• Collaborate with a team of pathologists and histotechs
• Ensure accurate specimen processing and labeling
• Participate in quality assurance processes
