As a Sample Control Specialist, you will be part of the Sample Control team, which is responsible for shepherding client samples from arrival to disposal. Qualifications BS/BA degree in science concentration required Very high level of organization and attention to detail Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for periods of up to 8 hours Ability to work occasional overtime with little notice Must be legally able to work in the US, local candidates are preferred Excellent communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred Duties for Sample Control Specialist include: Ensuring samples are received, prepared, preserved, and stored appropriately according to internal SOPs and approved EPA handling methods. Documenting and communicating receiving issues with Project Managers. Preparing and shipping bottle orders and sampling kits for clients. Cleaning sampling equipment. Calibration of equipment. Lab maintenance and cleaning. The pay range for this position is $22.14 – $23.00 hourly. The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work some weekends.
