Security Officer I Tasks and Responsibilities US site security officers assigned to site uniform patrol or static posts are responsible for proactive safeguarding of site properties and for the proper handling of calls for security services. Security Officers may serve as liaison with police or other law enforcement agencies on mutual problems, respond to fire alarms and assist in the evacuation of employees in emergency situations. Security officers will prepare clear and accurate computer‑generated reports of incidents and other activities and ensure protection of employees, physical assets, intellectual properties and information assets. The primary responsibilities of this role, Security Officer, are to: Perform mobile patrol of site within geography of responsibility on roadways and parking lots; Protect sites from trespassers or illegal entry; Protect against damage or theft of company property; Investigate and respond to calls for service; Provide emergency services and rescue, CPR and first aid during sudden illnesses or injury; Respond to intrusion and equipment alarms; Conduct initial investigations of accidents, or crimes against company property or employees; Foster an environment of trust and confidence through exemplary integrity and professionalism; Prepare appropriate report documentation; Think independently, react to changing conditions and make sound decisions based upon existing circumstances; In the event of an emergency, maintain order and the safety of employees and visitors; Use a company vehicle (pooled or assigned), driving greater than 8,500 business miles annually in a company supplied vehicle or frequently driving a pooled car as part of job duties, regardless of mileage. Who You Are Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Qualifications High School diploma or GED; Law enforcement, military and/or security experience; Ability to work autonomously and with limited supervision; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to prepare clear, succinct, accurate, professional and timely written communications; Obtain and maintain the State of Hawaii "Guard Card" according to HRS 463-10.5 prior to start date; Basic computer skills; Ability to work rotating shifts and available for overtime and weekend shifts; Work in excess of the normal eight-hour day when necessary; Maintain all certifications and training required by jurisdiction of authority and possess a valid driver's license; Valid drivers license and a driving record meeting company risk screening guidelines (MVR reviewed during pre‑employment screening). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Salary and Benefits Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $59,221.76 and $88,832.64. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
