HOSPITALIST PHYSICIAN – Aberdeen and Bel Air, MD We have an opportunity for a BE/BC Internal Medicine Physician to join our well-established Hospital Medicine service at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health locations in Bel Air and Aberdeen. About the Role Full-service hospitalist practice at University of Maryland (UM) Upper Chesapeake Health locations in Bel Air and Aberdeen Part of the University of Maryland Medical System University hospital with excellent specialty support Average 15 patients/day Closed ICU, our team is not expected to perform procedures or run codes Staffing Model: 23 providers; 12 physicians/11 APPs Day: 10 Physicians and 7 APPs Swing: 1 APP Night: 2 Physicians and 3 APPs EMR: EPIC Beds 257 Trauma Level – Level II Board certified/eligible in internal or family medicine Responsibilities include unit-based rounding, swing shift covers admissions and new consults during day, dedicated nocturnists Benefits Salary Range: $234K - 293K Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, long and short-term disability, 401k with match and CME allowance Leadership and training programs available Malpractice insurance with tail coverage, 100% company paid Cross-training opportunities Incentives for productivity and quality care Manageable caseloads Flexible block scheduling Recognition of service outside of work Opt-In PTO Plan Job Description Our hospitalist team provides inpatient internal medicine care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds and planning for discharge. Follow all established policies for maintenance and signing of medical records. Contribute to the achievement of department goals and adhere to policies, procedures, and quality and safety standards. Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed.
