Insurance Coverage Senior Counsel

Lindsay, Pickett & Postel, LLC is seeking a skilled Insurance Coverage Lateral Partner/Senior Counsel to join its growing Insurance Coverage practice within its Chicago office. The Firm Lindsay, Pickett & Postel (LPP) concentrates in the areas of insurance coverage, insurance defense, and appellate litigation in Illinois and Wisconsin. We have earned a reputation for consistently providing great client service, developing efficient, creative litigation strategies, and delivering top results. Our coverage practice includes authoring coverage opinions, position letters, litigating declaratory judgment actions, and writing or reviewing policy language. The Position Collaborate with other partners and attorneys in the insurance coverage group Independently manage a caseload of 30-40 files Provide coverage opinions Litigate declaratory judgment actions Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Licensed to practice in the state of Illinois 8+ years of experience handling first or third-party coverage claims and litigation Portable business is welcomed, but not required Experience with CGL, commercial property, commercial auto, umbrella and excess issues is ideal Strong background in additional insured, construction risk transfer, trucking and commercial property claims is preferred Why You Should Apply Base salary commensurate with experience and beginning at $175,000. 1,900 billable hour goal with monthly bonus opportunity Outstanding benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) & profit sharing, maternity leave, and life insurance Newly renovated Chicago office with premium finishes, city and lake views Premier amenity floor and gym with 50% of base membership covered by the firm If you would like to join our dynamic team, please submit your resume and writing sample to View email address on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr Lindsay, Pickett & Postel, LLC
