Industrial Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Project Manager to lead the planning, execution and successful delivery of industrial infrastructure projects including water and wastewater treatment plants, pump and lift stations, process plants and power generation facilities. The role is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and contractors, and ensuring regulatory and client requirements are met from concept through commissioning and closeout.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle for industrial projects (water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, process plants, power generation facilities) from initiation through handover and closeout.
• Develop, maintain and execute project schedules, budgets and resource plans; track performance and implement corrective actions to meet milestones and cost targets.
• Coordinate and oversee engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities; manage contractors, vendors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Serve as primary client and stakeholder point of contact; facilitate regular project meetings, status reporting and risk reviews; manage change orders and contract modifications.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with health, safety and environmental regulations and company HSE policies; lead site safety initiatives and incident investigations as required.
• Provide technical oversight and troubleshooting for systems including pumps, lift stations, pump stations, treatment processes and power systems; collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design and constructability issues.
• Drive procurement strategy and vendor selection for long-lead equipment (pumps, membranes, motors, control systems); review technical submittals and approvals.
• Manage project documentation, commissioning plans, start-up sequences and performance testing; ensure successful turnover to operations with complete O&M documentation.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; maintain accurate forecasts and contingency plans and escalate critical issues to senior management.
• Coach and mentor project team members, foster cross-functional collaboration, and promote continuous improvement in project delivery processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline; PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years of project management experience delivering industrial projects such as water/wastewater treatment plants, pump/power stations, process plants or power generation facilities.
• Proven hands-on knowledge of pumps, lift stations, pump stations, process plant operations and wastewater treatment technologies.
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams, contractors, budgets and schedules on medium-to-large capital projects.
• Strong understanding of construction practices, commissioning/start-up procedures, and regulatory compliance for water and power facilities.
• Excellent client-facing, communication and negotiation skills; ability to present technical and commercial information clearly to stakeholders.
• Proficient with project controls and scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6) and familiarity with engineering drawings/CAD and technical submittals.
• Commitment to HSE standards and experience implementing site safety programs and risk management.
• Willingness to travel to project sites frequently and valid drivers license.
