SAP HANA Development Lead
We are looking for an experienced SAP HANA Development Lead with over 8+ years of hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting HANA systems in both standalone and sidecar architectures. Skilled in data modeling, SLT replication, performance tuning, and integration with S/4 & non-SAP systems. Proven ability to deliver real-time analytics solutions and optimize reporting performance. Candidate should have lead experience and handling complex sidecar environment.
Required Skillsets
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Native HANA development, data modeling, SQLScript, and performance optimization.
- Proven expertise in designing end-to-end data models, optimizing complex HANA views, and delivering scalable analytics solutions.
- Adept at integrating SAP HANA with S4 HANA and non-SAP systems to drive business intelligence and data-driven decision-making.
- Expertise in SQLScript, Table Functions, and advanced Calculation Views.
- Understanding of the SAP SLT to do correct mapping
- Strong experience in SLT, SDI, SDA for data provisioning.
- Knowledge of HANA XS/XS Advanced, OData services.
- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization in HANA.
- Strong experience in integration with BOA, Webi, Tableau, Power BI.
Support Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a support team handling bug fixes, enhancements, and client queries.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Should have a clear understanding and working experience in SDLC, CI/CD, Agile & Sprint programs.
- Ability to Co-ordination with Application and Platform teams, Hyper-Care support, Performance optimization, Unit Test & Integration test support
- Mentor and support other colleagues and L2 team for L3 Technical delivery
- Managing services SLAs like availability (proactive monitoring) and incident resolutions as per SLAs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a support team handling bug fixes, enhancements, and client queries.
- Design and develop Attribute, Analytic, and Calculation Views (Graphical and SQLScript-based).
- Create complex Calculation Views using Table Functions, and SQLScript.
- Use variables and input parameters to enable dynamic data filtering.
- Develop stored procedures and functions to handle business logic in the database layer.
- Implement Hierarchies, Restricted, and Calculated Columns in HANA models.
- Optimize joins, aggregations, and projections for faster execution.
- Refactor complex Calculation Views by leveraging Aggregation Nodes, Star Join, and pruning techniques.
