Job Summary:
A registered nurse specialized in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is sought for a facility located in Frankfort, Kentucky. The nurse will be responsible for providing patient care in a high-acuity obstetric environment, supporting both routine and complex deliveries, and collaborating with the healthcare team. Candidates are required to bring their Kentucky license or Compact license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with shifts scheduled for days or nights, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Kentucky license or Compact license; Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certifications; at least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting with a minimum of 3 or more years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience circulating for cesarean sections (c/s), proficiency with Meditech Expanse Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and CPN (Centricity Perinatal) systems
• Additional Information: The position requires working every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights). The facility has a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and NB Nursery, with a staffing ratio of 2:1 in Labor and Delivery, 6-8:1 in Mother-Baby (MB), and 1-4:1 in NICU depending on acuity. The unit is equipped with Alaris pumps, Corometrics 250 series fetal monitors, Monica monitors, and Ranger fluid warmers.
