SierTeK Ltd. is seeking seven (7) Supply Technician/Tool Support (Day Shift) to support an opportunity at Davis Monthan AFB.

Position Overview Section

The Supply Technician will operate tool issue centers, maintain tool accountability and inventory accuracy, support tool-kit assembly and configuration, manage loaner tools and rags, and ensure tools and equipment are properly controlled to prevent Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and support safe, efficient aircraft maintenance operations.

Essential Job Functions

Tool Control and Management

• Manage, inspect, issue, transport, receive, store, repair, and dispose of common hand tools.
• Manage and maintain Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
• Build tool kits and templates as requested.
• Replace worn or broken tools and maintain tools in serviceable condition.
• Organize and inventory tools at designated locations.
• Etch and de-etch tools as required.
• Issue and maintain accountability for shop rags.
• Rebuild and recondition toolboxes.
• Check in and check out loaner tools for daily maintenance activities.
• Secure tool kits awaiting reissue and separate kits designated for salvage.
• Cut and store foam for tool shadowing and shadowing boxes.
• Operate tool issue centers in accordance with applicable Air Force and Government regulations.

Inventory and Accountability

• Maintain 100% inventory accuracy between physical tool counts and electronic records, as measured monthly.
• Maintain strict accountability and control of all tools and equipment in Contractor possession.
• Identify, inventory, and control tools maintained by the Contractor.
• Immediately identify and report inventory discrepancies in accordance with established requirements.
• Maintain procedures designed to prevent tool loss, unauthorized issuance, and Foreign Object Damage (FOD).
• Ensure tools are not issued without an authorized AMARG Tool Card or applicable letter of authority.
• Maintain daily inventory accountability and supporting documentation.
• Conduct complete physical inventories at satellite locations at the beginning and end of each work shift.
• Reconcile physical inventory counts with electronic records within required timeframes.

Tool Control Centers and FOD Prevention

• Manage tool issue centers and maintain current tool-control procedures.
• Establish and follow effective controls to prevent FOD to aircraft and support equipment.
• Maintain strict accountability of tool and equipment assets.
• Ensure tool kits and toolboxes are properly inventoried before being returned to ready status.
• Support FOD-prevention practices through accurate inventory, issue, return, and inspection procedures.

TMDE Management

• Ensure TMDE remains current with required Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules.
• Verify calibration and PM due dates before issuing TMDE and upon return to the tool crib.
• Identify overdue TMDE and coordinate turn-in and pickup with the appropriate Government Representative (GR) for calibration.
• Maintain TMDE in accordance with applicable Air Force requirements.
• Coordinate staffing, inventory, and material requirements for satellite tool locations.
• Ensure satellite locations are properly stocked, managed, and supported.

Toolbox Pickup and Delivery

• Perform pickup and delivery of toolboxes for initial issue and turn-in.
• Provide transportation support using an appropriate vehicle and trailer.
• Coordinate toolbox movement with Government personnel and supported maintenance organizations.
• Maintain accountability of toolboxes during transportation and transfer.

Tool Kit Assembly and Configuration

• Build toolboxes and tool kits
• Build tool kits and templates in accordance with applicable Air Force tool-control guidance.
• Support Individual Tool Kits (ITK), Consolidated Tool Kits (CTK), Dispatchable Tool Kits (DTK), and other designated tool kits.
• Complete tool kits within established Government timelines based on the number of individual tools required and percentage of tools received.
• Notify the Tool Control Manager (TCM) and COR through written request when additional time is required because of personnel absences or unforeseen circumstances.
• Process template revisions and additions within established timeframes.
• Complete tool-kit transfers

Tool Kit Turn-In and Inventory

• Pick up toolboxes for turn-in at the request of Government area supervisors.
• Conduct a complete inventory of tools contained within each toolbox.
• Document inventory results on the applicable Tool Kit Custody Receipt Listing or other required documentation.
• Ensure toolboxes are not returned to ready status until 100% accountability has been established.
• Identify missing, damaged, unserviceable, excess, or otherwise questionable tools for appropriate disposition.

Tool and Kit Marking

• Mark tools, tool kits, and toolboxes in accordance with applicable Government requirements.
• Utilize Government-provided laser-etching equipment when available.
• When laser-etching equipment is unavailable, temporarily hand-scribe identification numbers in accordance with approved procedures.
• Permanently laser-etch tools when equipment becomes available and completely remove temporary markings.
• De-etch tools when required before returning serviceable tools to stock or processing them for disposition.

Foam Shadowing and Tool Kit Configuration

• Cut and install foam material for tool-kit shadowing.
• Ensure tool shadowing is neat, clean, properly fitted, and representative of the tool.
• Maintain appropriate shadowing depth and fit to prevent tool displacement during transportation.
• Use Government-provided hand or powered tools when performing foam-cutting and shadowing activities.
• Conduct market research for foam materials when requested.
• Provide sourcing options and quotations to the Tool Control Manager (TCM) for Government review and purchase execution.
• Ensure proposed materials meet required technical specifications and tolerances.
• The Government retains sole verification and purchasing authority.

Toolbox Locks

• Install Government-provided replacement locks on toolboxes.
• Replace locks when keys are lost at the request of the appropriate Government supervisor.
• Follow applicable Lost/Found Tool Program procedures.
• Conduct market research for replacement locks and provide three competitive sources when available.
• Provide equivalent lock specifications, tolerances, sourcing information, and quotations using the Government-designated format.

Tool Tracking, Reporting, and Records

• Develop and maintain standardized tool inventory and accountability procedures.
• Support a Structured On-the-Job Training (SOJT) program and standardized inventory methodology.
• Generate daily inventory reports from FEMS/PAMS and maintain them as official supporting records.
• Identify personnel responsible for conducting required inspections.
• Provide weekly discrepancy summary reports to the COR and GR.
• Document inventory variances, corrective actions, and identified trends.
• Provide required tool reports, including:
• Temporary Loan Tool Reports
• Overdue/Pending Tool Reports
• Individual Issue/Rag Accountability Reports
• Monthly purchase summaries
• Items currently on order
