Production Underwriter

Underwriting Manager, Personal Lines Location: Houston, TX Mode: Hybrid Responsibilities Oversee the evaluation, classification, and rating of risk to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing Implement underwriting policies under the direction of the Managing Director and ensure compliance with these policies Be accountable for producing business in the assigned territories Underwrite new and renewal business Be technologically savvy and data driven. Develop those capabilities in their team Monitor critical areas, such as loss ratio, costs, retention ratio and new business hit ratio, formulating corrective action where necessary Work to become expert in classes of business.
