We are partnering with a well-established company that has built a strong reputation for delivering quality projects throughout the Oklahoma City market. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Cost Estimator to join their team. The company is open to candidates at various experience levels and is willing to provide training for individuals looking to develop their estimating career.
Position Overview
The Cost Estimator will support the preconstruction process by assisting with project estimates, analyzing plans and specifications, and helping develop accurate project budgets. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a collaborative and successful construction organization.
Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to understand project scope and requirements
Assist in preparing estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project costs
Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis using available project information
Work closely with project managers, superintendents, vendors, and subcontractors to gather pricing and project details
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions
Maintain accurate estimating records and databases
Support bid preparation and proposal development efforts
Participate in project handoff meetings and assist with budget reviews as needed
Stay informed on market pricing and material costs
Qualifications
Construction, engineering, estimating, or related industry experience preferred
Recent graduates with relevant education or internship experience are encouraged to apply
Experience with Bluebeam, estimating software, or construction management tools is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Eagerness to learn and develop professionally
