What You ll Do

• Function as a trauma hospitalist, conducting daily patient rounds
• Respond to trauma alerts and assist with urgent patient care
• Manage orthopedic and soft tissue trauma cases, including minor procedures
• Facilitate patient discharges and coordinate transfers
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
• Document patient care accurately using established EMR systems (Epic)
• Handle ED consults and trauma activations as needed
• May assist with procedures such as chest tube placement, central and arterial line insertion, suturing, and ventilator management

What You Need
Required:

• Valid NP or PA license in Minnesota
• BLS, ACLS certifications; trauma or critical care experience preferred
• Ability to work independently with supervision from trauma surgeons
• Proven experience managing trauma or critical care patients
• Flexibility to work day shifts with a full patient load

Preferred:

• Experience with Level I trauma centers
• Skills in invasive procedures including chest tubes and central lines
• Multilingual or diverse communication skills
