We are seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at the Skeletal Orthopedic Sports Rehab Clinic in Chesapeake, Virginia. Our facility spans 5000 square feet and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and resources to support patient recovery and rehabilitation. Our team includes two experienced physical therapists and a certified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), all committed to collaboration and excellence in patient care.

Work Environment

You will be working onsite at our comprehensive clinic located in Chesapeake, Virginia, from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. This structured schedule fosters a balanced work-life environment while allowing you to focus on your patients during dedicated hours. Our practice primarily serves clients with private medical insurance, ensuring that we can offer individualized attention and tailored interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and understand the unique goals and needs of each patient to develop effective, personalized treatment plans.
• Maintain a manageable patient load of one-on-one sessions, allowing for comprehensive care and interaction.
• Implement various treatment modalities and rehabilitation techniques that promote functional recovery while minimizing medication reliance.
• Design individualized fitness and wellness programs, incorporating injury prevention strategies and fitness sustainability.
• Effectively document and track patient progress to evaluate the success of interventions and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide educational resources and motivational support to patients, encouraging active participation in their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, optimizing outcomes.
• Conduct ongoing evaluations to gauge treatment effects and maintain effective communication with patients regarding their progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves patients recovering from orthopedic conditions such as fractures, sprains, surgeries, and chronic pain issues. We focus on high-quality, personalized rehabilitation interventions that improve strength, flexibility, balance, and overall physical functionality. You will work with a diverse group of individuals, each presenting unique challenges that require tailored therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, with no history of board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and an understanding of evidence-based practices.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting, preferably focusing on rehabilitation.
• A deep understanding of exercise prescription and implementation of customized exercise regimens.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, along with comprehensive benefits tailored to support your well-being and career development.
