Your path to a rewarding career starts here! \n\n Operating Room Nurse at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital - Arlington: \n\n\n Under the direct supervision of the Operating Room Coordinator and the OR Director, the RN is responsible for nursing activities related to the care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure.\n The RN is a resource person and provides guidance to non-licensed personnel.\n The RN can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric and some pediatric patients.\n The attached criteria-based performance evaluation provides a specific set of standards as they relate to age specific competency.\n\n\n Qualifications \n\n Education: \n\n\n Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.\n\n Licensure/Certification: \n\n\n Current Texas Nursing License.\n Current CPR, ACLS\n PALS preferred\n\n Required Experience: \n\n\n Minimum of two (2) previous OR experience required, hospital setting preferred.\n Must have ortho and spine experience.\n Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.\n Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees\n Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse\n Clinically proficient in operating room nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient\n\n\n What We Offer: \n\nAs an organization, one way we care for our communities and each other is by providing a comprehensive benefits package that includes: \n\n\n Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage\n Life and AD&D coverage\n Availability of short- and long-term disability\n Flexible financial benefits including FSAs and HSAs\n 401(k) and access to retirement planning\n Paid holidays and vacation\n\n Who We Are: \n\nAt USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
