Diesel Technician

DESCRIPTION We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business in Tulsa, OK. $5000 Sign on Bonus IMPACT IN THIS ROLE Complete troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on engine products and other customer equipment in a service shop. Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines, including utilizing computers/software in the process of diagnostic work. Apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools. Completing required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Ongoing training and additional certifications on new and existing Cummins products. Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues/ incidents to supervisor. RESPONSIBILITIES Apply documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools. Disassemble, inspect and clean engines and/or engine components. Assist with completion of required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms. Complete training in line with skill and business requirements. Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation. Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues/incidents to supervisor. Mechanical Knowledge – applies mechanical principles and safe procedures for diagnostics and repair. Product Repair and Maintenance – repairs and maintains mechanical/electrical products following guidelines and established procedures. Service Documentation – records relevant data and verifies customer information in the service system. Technical Escalation – obtains technical information, utilizes resources, and captures troubleshooting steps for ticket resolution. EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution Locally valid driving permit (Preferred) May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. EXPERIENCE Minimal level of workshop experience required. Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products. QUALIFICATIONS CDL DOT REQUIREMENTS A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire. Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older. A current valid license is required for this role. Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience. This role requires a 5‑year motor vehicle report, free from major violations. This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre‑employment drug testing requirements. Due to the operational nature and specific job duties of this role, work is required to be completed 100% in-person/On‑site.
