Senior Environmental Engineer/Senior Project Manager

Job DescriptionDewberry is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer/Senior Project Manager for our Parsippany, NJ office. This senior professional will perform a variety of environmental tasks in support of environmental remediation projects, including developing long-range remedial solutions and strategies to reduce environmental risk. Projects are primarily located in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania; the position includes support to other Dewberry offices in the U.S. Responsibilities include: the site/remedial investigation, remedial project design, and implementation of remedial actions pursuant to regulatory agency and/or company direction.The Senior Professional must be flexible, client focused and capable of working independently, while supporting a team that includes engineers, scientists, and field personnel. The work required is diverse and ranges from coordination of field inspection and soil/groundwater sampling to technical work that requires strong communication skills and knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and Adobe Acrobat. Current OSHA 40-hour certification and/or other applicable certification preferred. Interacts with the client in the field, at meetings, and on conference calls.Plans and coordinates all aspects of work.Prepares and manages scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments.Leads and assists with proposals.Manages and meets budgets. Meets project, client, and regulatory deadlines.Other duties as required.Required Skills & Required ExperienceBS in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related degree. Minimum 15 years of experience.PE license is requiredNew Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) a plusOSHA 40-hour certification with a current 8-hour annual refresher course certificationThe ideal candidate must possess strong hydrogeological technical skills alongside a proven track record of securing new clients and leading successful business development initiativesConduct advanced evaluations of subsurface soil and rock strata to characterize aquifer properties and predict pollutant movement or groundwater flowCapacity to evaluate complex dataWorking knowledge of NJDEP, NYSDEC, NYCDEP and/or PADEP requirements a plus.Strong written and verbal communication skillsCommunicates effectively with clients, coworkers, subconsultants, and county/agency review staff.Composes technical reports, memoranda, and other written communication.Handles multiple concurrent projects.Responsible for field sampling and contractor oversight at locations in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.Proficiency with basic MS Office softwareDriving is a requirement of the position.
