The Electrician Journeyman/4 Year Apprentice is responsible for performing electrical installation, maintenance, and repair for residential and commercial projects in the Grand Forks region. Working primarily in small teams and reporting to a Senior Electrician, this role requires expertise in wiring, troubleshooting, and reading blueprints to ensure safety and code compliance. The position involves occasional regional travel and utilizes standard electrical tools to deliver high-quality electrical services.
Responsibilities
- Install, wire, and maintain electrical systems in residential and commercial settings
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform timely repairs
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service while on-site
- Collaborate effectively within small teams
- Use standard electrical tools safely and efficiently
- Report progress and issues to the Senior Electrician
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in electrical installation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman Electrician License or 4 Year Apprentice certification
- Experience with residential and commercial electrical systems
- Proficient in electrical wiring and blueprint reading
- Strong understanding of safety compliance and troubleshooting
- Effective communication skills
