Empower Lives Every Day.MBI Health Services is looking for compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals to join our residential team supporting adults and children with developmental disabilities. We currently have full-time (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM), weekend, and on-call shifts available in Washington, DC.In this role, you’ll make a direct impact by helping individuals with personal care, daily living skills, and community engagement in a supportive, home-like setting. Experience working with individuals who use wheelchairs or driving a handicap-accessible van is a plus, but not required. If you’re patient, dependable, and ready to make a difference…you belong here.Starting Pay: $17.95 per hour.Available Shifts:Saturday through Sunday between 7:00AM – 7:00PMSaturday through Sunday between 7:00PM – 7:00AMMonday through Friday between the hours of 3:00PM – 11:00PMResponsibilities:Assist individuals with personal hygiene, daily living activities, and medication administration as directedCreate and maintain a safe, comfortable living environment for residentsProvide emotional support and companionship to individuals in their homesAccompany residents on community outings and recreational activitiesPrepare nutritious meals and perform light housekeeping dutiesImplement and monitor individual care plans, ensuring personalized supportConduct monthly fire drills and maintain safety protocolsComplete accurate and timely documentation of client activities and progressCollaborate with team members and healthcare professionals to ensure quality careRespond promptly and appropriately to emergenciesMaintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards at all timesParticipate in ongoing training and professional development opportunitiesImmediately report any malfunction of equipment to the Residential Manager.Collect all mail from the properties relative to utility bills, court notices etc, and submit to Residential Manager.Ensure that during inclement weather and other emergencies all preventative and safety precaution activities are implemented as outlined in company policies.High school diploma or GED requiredSuccessfully complete Phase I and II orientation training approved by DDACurrent CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hireStrong verbal and written communication skills in EnglishPhysical ability to assist with personal care and perform light housekeeping dutiesDemonstrated empathy, patience, and resilience when working with individuals with developmental disabilitiesAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysStrong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressureDetail-oriented with excellent organizational abilitiesComplete other trainings as required by stakeholders and managementKnowledge of emergency procedures and ability to respond appropriately in crisis situationsCultural sensitivity and awarenessWillingness to learn and adapt to clients' individual needsAbility to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standardsEmotional stability and resilience in a challenging work environmentExperience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferredCommitment to ongoing professional development and training #J-18808-Ljbffr
