Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

This role supports a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing operation by loading rods, operating production equipment using foot controls, and ensuring that all finished parts meet quality and labeling standards. The general production worker follows detailed instructions, maintains high levels of accuracy, and contributes to smooth production line flow through careful inspection, assembly, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Hand load rods with thin diameters onto platforms in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use a foot control to engage and operate production machinery on assigned parts.
• Visually inspect rods and parts before placing them into the machine to ensure they meet quality requirements.
• Label finished parts accurately according to customer specifications and internal standards.
• Perform threading, assembly, and basic mechanical tasks as needed on the production line.
• Use hand tools and follow wiring and mechanical instructions where required.
• Conduct visual inspections and assist with inspection reporting to document quality results.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including kitting, picking, packaging, and preparing products for shipment.
• Use SAP or similar systems for data entry, inventory tracking, and inventory control activities.
• Follow production line procedures and work instructions to maintain consistent output and quality.
• Troubleshoot basic production issues and escalate more complex problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain an organized work area and adhere to all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
• Work efficiently to meet production goals while demonstrating the ability to multitask across different tasks and stations.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors to coordinate daily work.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow directions accurately and retain information over time.
• Strong sense of accountability for delivering a high level of performance.
• High attention to detail when loading, inspecting, and labeling parts.
• Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a production setting.
• Clear, effective, and professional communication skills at all levels.
• Comfort operating production machinery using foot controls.
• Capability to perform visual inspections and identify nonconforming parts.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for tasks such as threading, assembly, and use of hand tools.
• Ability to perform data entry related to production, inventory, and shipping activities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with inspection processes and generating or supporting inspection reports.
• Experience in production line work, including threading, wiring, and assembly tasks.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving functions such as kitting, picking, packaging, and preparing orders.
• Experience using SAP or similar enterprise systems for data entry, inventory, and inventory control.
• Troubleshooting skills for basic production or equipment issues.
• Comfort working with hand tools and performing repetitive tasks with consistency.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.

Work Environment

The facility is extremely clean and fully temperature controlled throughout, providing a comfortable and consistent work setting. Work is performed on a first-shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., supporting predictable hours and work-life balance. The environment includes production lines, inspection stations, and equipment operated via foot controls, along with the use of hand tools and mechanical assembly tools. Employees may use SAP or similar systems for data entry and inventory control. The onsite gym, available Monday through Saturday, offers modern fitness equipment and classes, reinforcing a health-conscious and supportive workplace atmosphere.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
