Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Management: Take charge of the cafe, leading by example, coaching staff, and ensuring adherence to company policies. Maintain a friendly and professional atmosphere to set the tone for each shift. A strong leader is willing to do everything that they ask their team to do. Customer Service Excellence: Lead by example in providing excellent customer service, from greeting guests to ensuring timely and high-standard drink and food preparation. Handle customer feedback with prompt and professional resolution. Operational Efficiency: Oversee daily operations including inventory checks for placing orders, manage and address sales and service feedback during shifts, communication of maintenance tasks, and task management of the team. Qualified Lead Baristas should also be able to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and cleanliness standards. Sales & Promotion: Drive sales through effective customer engagement, upselling, and ensuring staff are knowledgeable about menu items and promotions. Team Coordination: Communicate scheduling needs and delegate tasks to the Cafe team using the provided tools and platforms. Ensure effective communication within the team and adherence to uniform standards. Reporting & Compliance: Conduct regular reporting on sales, inventory, and staff performance. Ensure proper cash handling. Requirements: Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality or retail industry. Food Handlers Certification from the NYC DoH Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and challenges with a positive attitude. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food safety practices. Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays. Lead Baristas will be expected to work during peak service hours beginning at 7AM.
