Senior Transportation Project Manager

Job Description In this role, you will: Develop project scopes, schedules, work plans, and staffing plans Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget Serve as the primary point of contact for CDOT clients, building and maintaining strong long-term relationships Manage transportation projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from proposal development through project closeout Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies Monitor project profitability, utilization, and overall financial performance Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and strategic pursuits Mentor and develop project managers and technical staff Ensure compliance with CDOT standards, quality requirements, and company procedures Collaborate with executive leadership to expand GEC's transportation practice MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant A successful Senior Transportation Project Manager should have: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred 10+ years of transportation engineering and project management experience Experience with IDOT or other municipal transportation agencies Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams Strong client relationship management and communication skills Ability to lead multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.
