Housekeeping/Patient Care Attendant – Surgery DepartmentThe Housekeeping/Patient Care Attendant (PCA) supports hospital operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment. This non-clinical role is essential to patient care through strict adherence to disease control protocols, facility cleaning, laundry, and inventory management.Key QualificationsCompassion for pets and peopleStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidaysAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting, cleaning, patient restraint)Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressurePrimary ResponsibilitiesClean and disinfect kennels, surgery/prep areas, and public spacesSurgical instrument care and sterilization.Restock supplies and maintain inventoryReceive and stock shipmentsPerform laundry dutiesAssist with basic care of boarded or hospitalized patientsAnimal restraintSurgery set-up/tear downMaintain overall facility cleanliness and organizationSchedule Full-time; includes at least one weekend day per week (Sunday - Wednesday 6 am - 4 pm)Compensation $18.50–$20.00/hour (DOE) + shift differentials for weekend days.Paid time off and holidaysMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchMental health and wellness resourcesPet care discountsContinuing education and growth opportunities
