Food Service Assistant (S)

Broughton Hospital is accepting applications for full-time Food Service Assistants to work 40 hours per week. The Food Service Assistant is primarily responsible for serving foods, minor food preparation, and cleaning all stations within Nutritional Services. This position is also the backup for the covering the Employee's Caf.

Responsibilities Include:

• Operating wash ware dish machines
• Maintaining high standards of sanitation
• Serving foods and minor food preparation
• Perform moderately heavy physical labor for extended periods of time

Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

• Experience serving and/or preparing food in a commercial or institutional kitchen

Conditional Requirements: Selected applicants must be able to pass a State Bureau of Investigation Criminal History Check, and complete and pass BLS/CPR training and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training during orientation.

This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.

The normal working hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. or 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., including some weekends and holidays; however, flexibility with work schedule is required to meet training requirements and hospital needs.

Veteran's and National Guard Preference
