Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Summary This position is eligible for a sign‑on bonus. Operates gamma cameras to perform standard dynamic, static, and tomographic procedures, providing excellent diagnostic images for interpretation. Is responsible for preparing, calibrating, and calculating radiopharmaceuticals while maintaining sterility and integrity of the prepared radiopharmaceutical compound. Treats patients, families, and health‑care team members with respect and courtesy, anticipating the needs of customers. Operates diagnostic imaging equipment and performs diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with department policy and procedures. Operates within the "Code of Ethics" and the "Clinical Performance Standards" established by the Society of Nuclear Medicine. Is knowledgeable of all NRC requirements for receiving, shipping, disposal, surveys, swipe testing, and radioactive contamination. Education Satisfactory completion of a formal nuclear medicine program, or radiologic technology with additional nuclear training. Licensure/Certification Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARRT (R), ARRT (N), or CNMT. Licensed with the Indiana State Board of Health for nuclear. CPR certification. Experience Previous experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred, but not required, or previous experience in a similar role. Other Qualifications Knowledge of imaging the various anatomical structures. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., 100 lbs. shared lifting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Ability to take calls, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to multi‑task and work independently using critical thinking skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
