Warehouse Supervisor

Silgan Containers is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including inventory, shipping, and receiving within a manufacturing warehouse environment. Why Silgan Silgan Containers offers stable employment and long-term career opportunities within manufacturing and warehouse operations, including: Competitive pay with annual merit increases Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar company match Paid vacation and holidays Tuition reimbursement A strong focus on safety, consistency, and internal advancement within manufacturing warehouses What You Will Do: Provide daily warehouse supervisor oversight of receiving, shipping, inventory control, and material handling operations Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of finished goods and materials within the manufacturing warehouse Ensure accurate preparation and validation of shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading and manifests Ensure compliance with warehouse safety procedures, material handling standards, and plant safety initiatives Maintain forklift safety audits and oversee lift truck operations and preventive maintenance schedules Manage inventory rotation, dunnage inventory, and space utilization within the warehouse Coordinate with production, inventory control, inside sales, and plant planning to improve manufacturing workflow Supervise warehouse staffing levels, work schedules, and daily workflow Provide employee training, coaching, performance feedback, and documentation as required Assist corporate and plant continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and sanitation standards Prepare and manage departmental budget requirements and anticipate future material handling needs Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials and international shipments, as applicable Apply union contract requirements, where applicable What You Bring High School Diploma or GED A minimum of three years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control, or materials management within a manufacturing environment A minimum of two years of supervisory experience Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, receiving processes, inventory control, and material handling practices Experience working with safety programs and compliance in a manufacturing warehouse environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Familiarity with warehouse management systems, bar code technology, and inventory systems; AS400 experience is a plus
