Real Estate Paralegal

Job Description

EverStaff is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal for our client in Erie, PA. This individual will support attorneys in all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions. Responsibilities include managing files from contract through closing, preparing and reviewing legal documents, coordinating with lenders and title companies, and ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and on time.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys with residential and commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing
  • Prepare and review closing documents, including deeds, mortgages, settlement statements, and title documents
  • Coordinate with lenders, title companies, buyers, sellers, and agents to ensure smooth closings
  • Conduct title searches and review title commitments, surveys, and related documentation
  • Draft and review purchase agreements, leases, and loan documents
  • Manage closing calendars and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Prepare closing binders and handle post-closing tasks, including recording and disbursements
  • Communicate with clients and third parties to obtain necessary documentation and resolve issues
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical files
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of real estate paralegal experience (residential and/or commercial preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of real estate transactions, title, and closing procedures
  • Experience working with lenders and mortgage/financing documents
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal/document management systems
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred
