Job Description
MECHANICAL PIPING ESTIMATOR (Permanent)
Our client, an established, stable, and well-known HVAC/Piping contracting company in WNY, is looking to hire a Mechanical Piping Estimator to join their growing team.This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to work on Industrial and Commercial projects.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily estimating responsibilitiescontributing to the overall success of each project
Reviewproject specs, RFPs, and designs to identify specific estimatingrequirements
Utilizeestimating software when preparing take-offs for various piping/HVACsystems to ensure accuracy and completeness
Createdetailed estimating documents and spreadsheets for proposalpackets-organize and distribute to necessary personnel
Create andmaintain professional relationships with subcontractors, engineers, andvendors
Review andevaluate a range of bids and quote to ensure competitive pricing for eachproject
Collaboratewith various team members, communicating effectively when gatheringproject details, understanding scope, and developing complete/accurateestimates
Work well ina team environment as well as independently
Otherduties as assigned/as necessary

Details:

Position is full-time, direct hire
100% in-office/on-site; Mon-Fri 7:00AM - 4:00PM
Minimal travel: 90% in-office, 10% on-site
$75,000- $115,000 annually depending on experience, plus bonus potential
Healthinsurance with Employer contribution, Life Insurance, 401k with match, PTO
5-10 years of experience in Mechanical Construction Estimating
Degree from college, trade school, or equivalent technicaltraining required
Knowledgeof estimating software (AutoBID) and Microsoft Office
Strongmathematical skills are required
Greatinterpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Strongorganization skills, analytical, and time management skills
Meticulousattention to detail
Self-motivated
Relocationnot available
