Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Spindle is excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate Extensive Support Needs Specialist (Mild/Moderate) Special Education Teacher to make a difference in a collaborative educational environment. This contract position is ideal for professionals enthusiastic about supporting students with diverse learning needs, utilizing the district’s strong team-focused special education framework.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential for California (Mild/Moderate or Extensive Support Needs area)
- Proven experience working with students requiring special accommodations or individualized education plans
- Solid understanding of compliance with state and federal special education laws and procedures
- Exceptional communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere and advocating for student success
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with mild to moderate support needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to provide appropriate modifications and accommodations
- Employ differentiated instruction strategies and adaptive technology to meet individual learning goals
- Maintain thorough records of student progress, assessment data, and service delivery documentation
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to school-wide special education initiatives
