If you are a current YAI employee, please click this link to apply through your Workday account.About the PositionYAI has an opening for a full-time Social Worker within our Kew Gardens site in Queens .The position at YAI provides the opportunity to gain exposure and experience working within the Queens Crisis Intervention Team and other professionals at YAI.Key responsibilitiesProvide in person intake/home visits to assess service needs and provide needed services.Treats people we support with disabilities related to the areas identified in intake, such as, case management, behavior management, and crisis counseling in the home.Facilitate Parent Support Groups (In person).Participates in interdisciplinary care planning for people we support and their families.Participate in utilization/quality assurance reviews.Provide outreach presentations on YAI Crisis Intervention and other related programs within and outside of the agency.Perform responsibilities as they currently exist or may change in meeting the needs of the department.Education and Experience:MSW (Person should be willing to eventually obtain their license; LMSW)Experience with IDD population preferredSpanish Bilingual- Fluent (Required)Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Willing to take initiativeExceptional interpersonal, problem solving and communication skillsHighly flexible personality typeProficient in Electronic Health RecordExcellent writing skillsExceptional organization skillsCompensation$58,000 annuallyAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or status as a Vietnam or disabled veteran.
